  1. Ive seen most of M3P complaint that after removing these the rims get scratched. Is there a way to remove them without this happening?

  2. I love most of the updates to the Model 3 Performance, except I can’t stand the plastic wheel covers. Even with the Aero inserts removed, the wheels don’t look nearly as good as the old upgraded Model 3 Performance wheels.

When I bought a Model 3 Performance a few years ago, I had the choice between plastic aero covers and sporty looking metal rims similar to what’s available on the Model S. Now, the Model 3 doesn’t come with a choice of wheels. It should, even if Tesla charged an upgrade fee for upgraded metal wheels.

  3. Without aero inserts = looks better from afar, and shows off the red caliper more, but up close, with the aero on actually grew on me, that I dare say, individually, wheel looks better than without. To each their own

  4. I liked it with the aero covers but then i took them off and it looks even better. You wouldn’t regret taking them off

  5. For as much as I despise tesla’s design, the wheel look absolutely fine like this. Probably the best looking areo-wheel of any electric car, but a wide margin

  6. I like em as they are, but next year I will switch to the new Chela design from "The new aero", they have an even more closed and cleaner look.

  7. I don’t like the covers that much, but I’ve learned to live with them for now because my OCD is preventing me from taking them off

  8. The advantage is that if you do hard braking, the brakes get cooled easier without the aero inserts😂

  10. I am looking at purchasing a used 2021 model 3 long range awe with 32,000 miles on it does anyone know what the range would be after that 32k miles?

  11. Those inserts me thinks are functional too not just for aesthetics, it makes the wheel to act like a propeller so when wheel spins it will suck air towards brake disks to cool them down.

  12. While they look better without the plastic pieces, they are meant to be there to direct the air for cooling and aerodynamics so I would say to leave them stock. I changed my 2022 Uberturbine wheels for the T-Sportline Arachnid 20" staggered 8.5" front and 10" back which are extremely better looking and much lighter, but the new 2024 Aero Wheels are actually lighter than the Arachnid so even if you don;t like them 100%, still, leave them as it is, will give you best performance.

  13. my understanding removing scratches the wheel? 🤔

pretty sure wheels are likely somewhat-scratched from just factory installation and wheel flexing on corners… the previous Tesla Aero Wheel did this (YouTube > Kim Java)

Tesla Advisor told me the previous Tesla Aero Wheel caps can be ordered as NOT installed… but Tesla is currently not doing that for Tesla Model 3 Performance 2025

    I asked to not install

  14. It looks like the wheels are lighter than they have been in the past. It’s quite shocking to take the 21 inch times 10 1/2 inch Uber turban wheel off the tire and weigh it. They are massive. I can’t recall the number now getting kilos and pounds confused in my brain, but I do know that forged wheel weighs half as much

  15. Who cares about what the wheels look like? You are not gonna drive with your head out the window staring at your own wheels. No one else on the road is looking at your wheels either

  16. keep in mind nobody cares except you. or when you look at your car when its parked. while driving, nobody can see the wheels as it is spinning anyway. get the extra range instead. that being said, I just spent like $7000 on wrap, tinting on my M3P. so i’m a big fat hypocrite!!! LOL
