Jeep Wrangler Disaster Detail, Mold, Mildew, and Algae. Full Interior Removal

Jeep Wrangler Disaster Detail, Mold, Mildew, and Algae. Full Interior Removal

This is 2008 Jeep Wrangler that was left outside for a few years and picked up by a good friend. His birthday was coming and I though the best present I could give him was to detail his disaster jeep Wrangler. The jeep had a ton of mold and algae on the paint and the inside had grease stains. I removed the interior to clean and apply rust prevention on the frame. We restored the faded trim with AMMO Frame and polished the scratched and swirled paint with Rupes wool pad and blue compound. Once done we applied AMMO Reflex Pro to the exterior for insane reflection and paint coating protection. For a full list of products visit www.ammonyc.com. Thx for watching! -L

  1. At 3:05 you mention the importance of using compressed air when drying, to get into areas that scrubbing may not be able to reach. Okay, but where does this debris go? I would have thought ‘anywhere’ – including onto the exterior of the vehicle. Seems to me that combining some of the cleaning with the drying, into one step, is not quite ideal.

  2. I wish you lived closer .. you could work on my Jeep..lol… but I live as far away from NY as I can get without having to live in California. I’ve been detailing my own Jeep for years using what I have learned from you. as a result my 23 year old jeep looks newer than the one you are working on in this video. Thanks for posting all these.

  3. Buying my first Wrangler X (2004) at the end of this month. You’ve done (I am sure more) two TJ’s which has given me MUCH motivation to work on this one coming into my family

  4. That Jeep is spotless compared to mine lol You would have a heart attack 🤣 It’s got about an inch of mud to get though and that’s just the inside

  5. Hey Larry thanks for the video, I actually have to do this to my girlfriend’s jeep! Main thing I’m curious about is the AC unit and how to deal with that, any advice? Thanks!

  6. Would you like to test your products on heay equipment? We clean our machinery every time they come back from rentals. Could be a cool video like the airplane

  7. Honestly Larry I don’t care much for Jeeps but the work you did on this makes me want a wrangler, the work you have done is beautiful!

  8. Steam is wonderful for a lot of staining, and it usually dries very quickly after it’s done its work. For interiors, a good steamer is worth it’s weight in cash. Now I need a good sprayer to go along with my extractor.

  9. The Dodge Challenger has it too on its windshield it’s a picture of the Dodge Challenger bottom driver side…

  10. Can’t help myself. I just love AMMO videos. I think it’s partly because Larry is an awesome host but he also knows his stuff. I also think they hit a sweet spot on length. Some of these same kinds of videos are close to an hour long and take an excruciating amount of time to get through the process. Great job as always and quite a nice birthday present.

  11. It would awesome if you could help Jason on rebuild rescue detail his 401 airplane. He was recently injured.

  12. After finishing detailing from top to bottom the satisfaction that you get is more than that of money itself… Looking forward to detail Humvee..
    Love from India ❤️

  13. Larry you and your team do such an amazing job!! You should teach young people how to do detailing properly so they could have a skill and possibly start their own business someday. Just a thought.

  14. I stored my ’82 Corvette, ’02 Thunderbird. and ’93 Allante for the winter. They were surrounded with mouse traps, glue traps and poison bait. I opened the hood of the Corvette today and found a mouse nest in the air cleaner. What did I do wrong?

  15. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

  16. It’s hard to believe people that say they love jeeps .my jeeps have never been this dirty. I don’t even have any one in my back seats . Lol .I love my jeeps all .

  17. Any tips on the shop drain? I plan on installing a 2 post lift and want to be able to wash the underside. I am located at the FL state line and I want to be able to detail indoors.

  18. The person who bought my 2011 wrangler will never be able to appreciate the 4 months of work I put into restoring it (working on it everyday since I had no job at the time), and I for sure did not make a profit on my labor, but it was so rewarding to be able to spend quality time with my beloved Jeep, bringing it back to absolute perfection.

  19. Finally! Thanks for the video. Please try and do another Jeep that has been completely covered in mud (yes, the entire interior as well)… That was my nightmare.
