i drilled my restrictor out cuse the turbo is not a ball bearing. There for it needs more oil. Am i wrong?

Every time I’ve seen youtuber kids put a turbo on a car they have no idea what they’re doing and end up burning it up lmao, now I know why they weren’t getting enough oil.

Just wrap a cloth around that nuts. No scuff marks. Those shifters are perfect in my eyes 🎉

What cracks me up is who do you think invented these speciality tools, it wasn’t dealerships it was mechanics who didn’t have the tool so they made it or made it work with what they got, creativity and intelligence outweigh any tool. My advice bring the adjustable wrenchs at 11 o’clock and one at 12 o’clock you have more control and force by bringing your hands together to pull towards one another

Only thing I would say is to not use the restricting plate on the oil feed line if the turbo is a journal bearing. That restriction is for ball bearing turbos, they don’t need as much oil.

trick for anyone or you for future use, run a little bit of automatic trans fluid in the hose and on the nipple of the fitting

That looks like a nice small turbo. I wonder if you ran a d series log manifold on a d16 if it would be a tight enough fit to keep ac.
Which motor is this for??? Also question for anyone. How easy is it to tap the oil lines to the pan. Or do they sell certain pans you can just install?

what would u suggest for a budget ecu? ive seen theres the speedwino’s but should i just go with a s300? also would 300-350whp be reliable on a stock h22a4 with head studs and fairly new rings and bearings be good or should i get some better piston’s and rods first?
