  1. i tested wix in tahoe 2012 for 6800miles , 26 months in dry hot, mild dusty environment .
upon multiple inspection using flashlight it didn’t catch dust as much as acdelco

2- i know that i should replace it every 12 months but after 26 months the borders milt oil unlike acdelco

  2. Man you don’t have a video for best oil filter! 😱 I am truly shocked…😂 Welp, I guess my car just won’t get an oil filter change until you upload a video…😆 I’m waiting patiently… Lmao

  3. Cellulose cured media with even pleat distance provides minimum air resistance thus providing more airflow to the engine. Bosh is among them and costs $5 @ home depot.

  4. Thank you sir I trust your reviews more than anything anywhere. I was doing some research on K&N and so many mixed reviews I could not get a clear picture. Now I do so thanks again!

  5. Thanks so much for doing such a thorough test. You helped me choose my next air filter. Also like that you put the top three you tested up instead of shilling on one brand. That way I know you’re not in their pocket. Great work.

  6. FRAM also other the cloth type which oil is used the same as the K&N AirFilter. These oil type airfilters offer nothing but a dirty throttle body after use

  7. Thanks for everyone who requested testing air filters and please let me know which brands you want tested in the next round. Also, here’s the list of the ones I tested. Thanks again!

  8. For any car that equipped with EGR, air filter doesn’t really matter because most of the particle got send to the engine from exhaust.

  9. Look guys after lots of research my colclusion. Best air filter is wix or puralator. Best oil filter is puralator boss best by alot

  10. Thanks PF! I was using a "Performance" K&N in my car since they claim the same filtration. But I just started using Blackstone Labs for oil analysis. Go figure I had higher than normal silicon, chromium, and aluminum in my oil. Before I saw this video I went with the wix air filter to help mitigate those issues, and now I can see there is definitely a difference. I think I speak for all of us when I say we appreciate the effort you put in to provide consumers REAL info on the products that are out there!

  11. I have owned my 2003 Acura MDX since 2006. I put a KN drop in filter in it about a year after owning it and been using the SAME KN Filter just rinse and re-oil it every 2 yrs. The vehicle now has 189,000+ miles doesn’t burn a drop of oil and runs like a new engine.🤷‍♂

  12. Thanks, I decided against K&N. My area can certainly get pretty dusty as I live basically in the middle of a cornfield lol.

  13. This was pretty eye opening. I’ve been using K& N filters for years. I know they allowed better air flow and ive seen how open their filters are ( you can actually see daylight through them!), but I didn’t know they were this bad with allowing that much contamination through! I thought is tas due to user error by not reapplying oil after users washed them or over oiling and fouling up O2 sensors. I’m switching to Purolator or WIX (depending on availability). Great job with your vids! Kudos to you! Please keep this up! Subbed

  14. The Wix brand is what we used when I was working in maintenance at multiple factories. Considering your testing results were correct, this validates my bosses decisions. I was convinced by your test methodology. You have a grasp on how to test products of many kinds. The legitimacy of that test methods you use convinces me this is the correct channel for learning about all kinds of products. As you say, very impressive!👍🏻

  15. Was the vehicle test done at the same temperature, pressure, and work cool down time in between runs?

  16. I always wait restlessly for his next new video, like an episode of your favourite show, except it’s informative, scientific and methodical

  17. I wonder how an oil bath air filter would rate. I’m running one on a stump grinder with a deutz air cooled engine. It’s been great for over 10 years. The engine was used when I bought it.

  18. Id love to see a test for every major car brand filter. Oil, air, and fuel from GM, FORD, Mopar, Denso, etc. Is American made better? Does Chevy beat Ford or Chrysler? Is JDM worth it?

  19. Alright Todd, I think we need to revisit this one with a new test with more of the current “performance” filters using standardized particles for a more accurate test.

I think it would also be a good idea to compare oiled vs dry filters in the same testing since some brands offer both (K&N, aFe, AEM, etc). Would be very interesting!

  20. I am super curious now, if some of these manufacturers also make oil filters, which one has the best?

  21. I’ve always gone with Fram engine air filters in the past. Its time to change the one on my Honda Civic for the first time so I looked to see what is available on Amazon since a dealership would charge $98 for the engine and cabin air filters. Thanks to this video I settled on a Purolator. I picked up one along with a cabin filter for 1/3 of what the dealership charges.

  22. I own a 2004 5.9l dodge cummins with 375k miles and i used to use fram until one day my air filter got wet and the turbo pulled hard enough to suck the entire fram air filter through the turbo, needless to say fram fuckin sucks

  23. Thank you for all the empirical testing for all kinds of products! You’ve done this engine air filter test, and multiple oil tests/comparisons. Have you ever considered doing an oil filter test?

  24. good to know i have kn air filterS on my prius and silVerado….made A HUGE DID I SAY HUGE!!!!! HUGE DIFFERENCE IN PERFORMANCE HUGE!!!! ON BOTH VEHICLES WILL BE SURE TO THINK ABOUT CHANGING MY OIL MORE OFTEN…..BUT I DONT CARE TO GO BACK TO WIX OR PURoLATOR ONE AFTER EXPERIENCING THE DIFFERENCE IN PERFORMANCE

  25. These videos are just so valuable. I would like to see masterforce from Menards included more I have their 1/2 and 3/8 impacts and that 3/8 impact is unbelievably powerful does truck lugnuts no problem
