  1. I know people like to hate on Fram but I have used nothing but Fram filters on my F150 and have 580,000 miles on the original engine … so far.

  2. The narrator spends more than half the time bad mouthing Fram without answering the question “What makes a good filter and who makes a good filter.?”

  3. Modern engines and modern oil don’t really need a crazy awesome filter. If you change filter and oil regularly (<5000mi), the kind doesn’t really matter. If you want to run a filter for 20,000 miles, maybe it matters but that’s crazy talk. Cheap filters and oil changed frequently will get most any modern engine into the 200K mi range. And any good mechanic will tell you to change often no matter which filter/oil you use.

  4. I dont like your review because your not tlaking about the brand of oil filter that your holding which makes it confusing. This video didnt answer any of my questions. Keep trying though i respect your effort and i will keep checking in

  5. There are multiple high quality oil filters such as Napa gold, wix xp, bosch, & others but each 1 can fit different needs. What is best for you and why? This could help others people in the NIA community who are just starting to research.

  6. Also remember like people seem to forget about is the more filtration you have the less oil is actually gonna go through the filter media itself and more likely to bypass the filter and then backwashing your filter into your major components of your engine so the higher dollar better filtration oil filters are actually not very good for your vehicle just stick with OEM and you’ll be fine

So what’s with handling all these filters and speeding up the video? There’s no logical reason to do this. I’m glad I don’t have epilepsy. 😕

  8. So, we’re at the 75% mark and we’re still harping on the Fram Fam of Crap Cans. I was convinced when you started shredding its guts with your little Chow Churning Chode Chigger Liggers. Yum. My point is, how come there wasn’t a list of well made brands. You think you would learn after 2 frams it’s not the filter its the maker.

  9. Fram is one of the wort oil filters on the market… had 3 fail. switched to Purolator.. haven’t had one fail in 20 years

  10. Does all that really matter from what I know most filters have enough quality to last until the next oil change

  11. Walmart high milage synthetic oil and Walmart synthetic filter for me lol changed every 4000-5000 miles! Add 9 oz seafoam 300 mikes before your oil change and that engine won’t let you down

  12. The problem with fram and any store brand filter is comsistency and quality control.
Fram quality varies wildly from batch to batch.
Store brands switch manufacurers and construction constantly and you never know the quality when this happens.

  13. When YouTube was at its peak, videos were made simple like this. Like, this isn’t a goofy goober restaurant your buddy. We’re here for information, not your ego designed for “views”

  14. i only buy denso or bosch and i thought i was wasting money until i saw u cut apart the fram filters… thank you

  15. Id never use fram again after watching all the filter comparisons iv watched. My buddy even after i told him fram sucks. He ended up seizing hid engine on his newer truck the fram filter fell apart. Blocking the oil enough to blow his engine.

  16. Your videos are awesome! Next you should compare oil filters, since an engine’s oil is only as good as the filter you use, and maybe see how well walmart’s supertech filter stacks up against a high performance filter.

  17. I’ve watched a couple of your reviews and decided they weren’t worth my time… "You’ve got to see this!" "I was STUNNED." "You need to cut open…" WHY? I don’t know what’s going through your head. Do you believe metal check valves or spring check valves perform better than a plastic valve? Do you have any proof of that? Am I supposed to believe more holes make for better performance? Does it make any difference if the paper creases are uniformly spaced? Is it the length of the filter element, or the total surface area? All I hear is "Look at this!".

You play up steel but you don’t make the connection that a uncoated steel component will surface rust sitting on the shelf in a store! Depends on how many years it sat there, and the moisture in the store. So the rubber gasket is easier to remove on some models… NOT a big issue. Anyone installing the filters should know if a gasket is missing, or the old one is still stuck to the engine… Who caused the scratches that you displayed on one of your videos? Was it the manufacturer, or a customer who returned the filter? And how is a scratch on the inside of a filter flooded with oil going to rust? And what about the contamination? You show a "puddle of oil" in one filter. Do you think it was assembled that way in the factory? I doubt they had any oil within 100 feet of the assembly line. Why would they? More likely than that, a customer bought the filter, screwed it on his oily engine, decided he didn’t like it, returned it to the store, and they put it back on the shelf for you to buy… And the discoloration of the end of the filter element? Again… How do you know this wasn’t a customer return? Disintegrated cardboard? Could it be that a customer bought the filter, used it, and then cleaned it with gasoline or solvent so he could return it?

Finally, you’re picking up components left and right, while talking about a different brand whose components are still sitting on the table. Why don’t you show us the components one brand at a time?

  18. Why does everyone just cut open the filters and look at them rather than actually test them to know how well they filter? How it looks doesn’t necessarily have any bearing on it’s filtering effectiveness, which is what really matters.

  19. I’ll never understand the mentality of "I spent $5K, $10K, or $50K+ to buy my car, but here let me save $5 on an oil filter."

  20. I have a 99 Avalon that has 340,000 miles. Oil is changed every 3 to 4K miles. Used mostly Fram Tough Gard and Toyota brand filters. Say what you will. It runs incredibly well and open highway at 70 to 75 mph averages 26 to 27.5 mpg. Used penzoil 5W-30 or 10W-30. I know what has worked since 03 when my Dad bought it and he gave it to me in 2014. Let the arguments begin. Lol

  21. Please recommend me what Oil filter should i use in my elantra. I’m facing issue ! when car engine is hot and stopped somewhere in parking. and start engine again i hear tick ticket noise for 5-8 seconds and goes away. I wanna get rid of this problem. Please help me.
