Don’t use gunk engine degreaser until you watch this bc for some people this not gonna work, specially a heavy baked oil that been sitting for years,
so in this video we gonna answer: do engine cleaners work ???
So, gunk Engine Cleaner Foam worked well with degreasing light oil and removed some dust and road grime, remember i used only one time and only for 15 minutes, you can try it for longer time and twice and you will get better results
this is one of the best and easy ways for degreasing engine bay and how to detail engine bay if you had engine leak before and wanna clean the engine to notes if you had new oil leak

How about greasy and oil all over engine and alternator from an oil leak that sprayed all over engine alternator and engine ect?????

You didn’t cover the alternator which you should. RULE NO 1:: DON’T USE PRESSURE WASHER TO WASH ENGINE BAY !!!

It’s OK to use pressure washer on this engine. It doesn’t have electrical connections or computers to worry about. I would have also sprayed inside the car while i was at it.

The real question is, what will be negatively affected if dirty, vs what will be negatively affected if wet?
Gunk has a biodegradable spray which I use and works great! I cover my electrical fuse and electronics with plastic bags and lightly spray the engine off with water low or no pressure.
My biggest concern was with the alternator. Getting it soaked like that I think was not a good idea.

Will never use a Pressure Washer, and always cover the Alternator with a Plastic Bag.
Pressure washer can damage interior cable or parts need to wash with normal garden hose second need to cover engine with plastic bag
I detail at kia an acura an toyota. And we spray or stuff down and rise with a pressure washer an we do not let it dry we use a air compressor to dry it before even starting the car we do not disconnect the battery all cars are 2023 an above btw

Using high pressure water is very high risk, if done properly its not needed either, just a garden hose to gently rinse. This is the short cut, fast and high risk method.
