Will regular waxing really ward off clear coat failure? I’ve been obsessively waxing my car since new but the finish is no match for 15 years of the SoCal sun, and the clearcoat is dulling on the hood. I’m finding it difficult to swallow that if I waxed it say twice as much this wouldn’t be happening.
Can u wax ur car if its hot outside but in a shade since Iโve heard ceramic coating spray is more delicate to that stuff

Fair warning. Butter Wet Wax is great when you first buy it. Easy on easy off. I had a problem with the wax right at one year after buying it. The wax went on easy. It almost took dynamite to get it back off. I spent 2 hours buffing the car off as it took a ridiculous amount of buffing. I called Chemical Guys and they suspected contamination was on the panels. I did and 50/50 with the 1 year old bottle and a new bottle. I used clean slate to clean the panel. Then I put the old wax on half of the hood and the new wax on the other half. The old was was still a problem. The new wax was fine. Consider yourself warned. The wax was stored at room temperature in a cabinet. Use the product FAST or you will regret it.

How often should I wax my truck
This should be done this way only a new car , but is recommended to hose it with water, wipe it off with microfiber drying towel- the wooly mammoth, then apply butter wax. I believe that you could get some dust on your car even if itโs new on the ride home from your dealership.

It also acts a great cleaner wax. I’ve taken off most fallout from paving, asphalt bits that sticks in side the wheels…..

You guys have always promoted this since its launch. Iโm curious to know why you prefer to stick to a more traditional protection rather than a longer lasting sealant or even ceramic coat?
